Snuggled in the corner of an orchard, beside a small waterfall is the heavenly Kingfisher Cabin. With a stream in front and wooded bank behind, the cabin is an inspirational retreat.

A woodburner and central heating make it easy to warm. A handmade kitchen diner, with an oak breakfast bar, opens out onto a covered verandah. From here you can observe orchard life in comfort come rain or sunshine.

Small scale adventures

Explore downstream and find the boat or take a walk to the woods to watch sunsets and mountains. Find the hammock in the orchard, kick back on the deckchairs or use the yoga platform above the brook. There’s plenty of ways for you to revel in this rural idyll.

You leave phone signal in the car park, so whether paddling, snoozing, cooking or day dreaming, you will not be disturbed in the moment.

Kingfisher Cabins’ orchard is always busy with wildlife and sublime all year round, especially in Spring when the orchard becomes a carpet of bluebells and the apple trees are in blossom. Autumn is also a treat when the apples are ripening and the leaves are starting to turn.
