Further Afield

And if you want to break out...

Footpaths lead in four directions from the entrance to the farmyard, easy ambling and great views of the Black Mountains and local valleys.

A breathtaking local hike up The Cats Back, a ridgeway above the Olchon Valley, is a fifteen minute drive. Or combine a trip to the bookshops in Hay on Wye with a walk up Hay Bluff.

There are plenty of local wild swimming opportunities or you can paddle down the River Wye in a canoe or on a paddle board. You'll find wonderful stretches of wooded riverbank and lots of wildlife.

Great bike rides and picnic spots in the neighbourhood, if you're feeling intrepid, you can even get electric bikes delivered to the mountain. And if you feel a need for speed, there's a brilliant go-kart track not far away!

Detailed information on all local walks and activities is provided in your accommodation.
